The JA+ extras

What JA+ adds to the game, and how you use it.

Set your keys first

Open Controls, then JA+ Control. There you give keys to the Grapple Hook, the JetPack, the Full Force Duel and to talking in the voice chat.

The server decides what is allowed. If the hook or the jetpack do nothing, the server you are on has switched them off.

Grappling hook

Aim at a wall or a ceiling and hold your hook key. The hook flies out, and once it sticks it pulls you along the rope. Let go of the key and you hang where you are. Press your use key to drop off.

The hook runs on the same fuel as the jetpack, and a saber or a shot can cut your rope.

Jetpack

  1. Stand on the ground and press your JetPack key. Now you carry one.
  2. Jump, and press your use key in the air to switch it on.
  3. Hold jump to climb. Watch the fuel: it lasts for about ten seconds of thrust.

Emotes

Emotes are typed into the console (press the key left of 1). Your character keeps the pose until you attack or jump.

To put an emote on a key, type for example bind k amsit.

Your saber in any colour

  1. Open the saber menu, where you choose your hilt.
  2. Click RGB Colors. In the main menu the button is named Color RGB.
  3. Mix your colour with the three sliders. With two sabers or a staff you mix one for each blade.
  4. Click Apply, then Apply Changes.

A saber that is switched off hangs on your hip, a staff across your back. In the player menu you choose the holster it sits in.

Duels

Look at another player and press your duel key to challenge him. If he does the same, the duel starts. JA+ adds a second kind, the full force duel, where all allowed force powers may be used. It has its own key under Controls, JA+ Control.

On many servers a duel is private: the other players fade away for you and can not get in your way. The winner is healed afterwards.

The alternate dimension

Some servers have two layers of the same level: one for calm play and one for free fighting. Players in the other layer look faded and can not touch you. Type amaltdim into the console to switch.
